YardVybz Terms of Service

1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and YardVybz (“YardVybz”, “we”, “us”) for using the YardVybz mobile app, website and related services (together, the “Service”). YardVybz is operated by YardVybz.com, registered at Portmore, Jamaica.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You can browse events without an account.
2. Who can use YardVybz
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Some events are for adults only (18+) and we may ask for proof of age.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You may sign in with an email and password, or with a Google or Facebook account. If you suspect someone else has used your account, tell us at once.
3. What YardVybz does, and does not do
YardVybz helps people find events, parties, food spots and attractions across Jamaica. Listings are posted by event organisers and businesses, not by us.
- We do not organise the events and places listed on YardVybz, and we do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete or still current. Check the date, place and price with the organiser before you travel.
- Going to an event or visiting a place is your own decision and at your own risk. The organiser or business is responsible for the event, the venue and its safety.
4. Posting events and content
You can post events, photos and videos. When you do:
- You are responsible for what you post. It must be accurate, and you must have the right to use every flyer, photo, video, name and logo in it.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give YardVybz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, copy and distribute it in the Service so that we can run it. This licence ends when your content is deleted, apart from backup copies that expire within 30 days.
- Do not post content that is sexually explicit or violent, targets a person or group with harassment or discrimination, advertises something other than what the listing says, is spam, describes an event that does not exist, or breaks the law.
- Do not post other people’s personal details or images without their permission.
- Listings end when the event has finished. Venues such as restaurants and attractions stay listed while their listing is current.
5. Reports, moderation and suspension
Anyone signed in can report a listing as inappropriate content, discrimination or harassment, spam or a fake event, incorrect information, or something else. A moderator reviews each report.
- We may hold, change or remove any content that breaks these terms or the law, and we may do so without notice where we think it is needed to protect people.
- Removing a listing for breaking the rules can earn the organiser a strike. After three strikes, an account is suspended and cannot post.
- If you think we got a decision wrong, contact us at the address below and we will look again.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law, to harass or deceive others, or to promote scams;
- create fake or duplicate accounts, or post fake events;
- copy or collect the Service’s content automatically (for example by scraping), or reverse engineer, disrupt or overload it;
- try to get into accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
7. Tickets and payments
Ticket sales are not available yet. When they launch:
- Tickets will be sold by event organisers through a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Prices, fees, refunds and cancellations will be set out clearly before you buy, and the full ticket terms will be added to this page before sales begin.
- The organiser, not YardVybz, runs the event. If an event is changed or cancelled, the organiser and the ticket terms decide what you are owed.
Some features may become paid in the future, for example extra visibility for a listing. We will tell you before anything you now use for free starts to cost money.
8. Our rights
The YardVybz name, logo, app and website, and everything in them that is not posted by users, belong to YardVybz.com. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but you may not copy it or use our name or logo without our written permission.
9. Closing your account
You can stop using YardVybz at any time. To delete your account and data, follow the steps on our data deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law.
10. Limits on our responsibility
The Service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that listings are correct.
To the extent the law of Jamaica allows, YardVybz is not responsible for losses that come from an event or business listed on the Service, from what other users post, or from the Service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.
11. Changes, law and contact
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as YardVybz grows. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, and the courts of Jamaica can hear any dispute about them.
